I already find the Defender to be a very frustrating tank, this would be a nightmare to play with.
There is a 45mm part of the armor that connects the upper part of the side armor to the lower part that can be over match anything > 135mm guns. But yes, the armor is the strong point and is a great tank to do blocking missions.

I think it’s a little OP, just a little. The fact that it can go up against tier Xs toe to toe in regards to armour is a little baffling in my opinion. It’s like an IS-4 but in tier 8, but with a horrible gun. Imagine the equal tiers and lower tiers trying to kill it.
Anything with a +90mm gun can overmatch the top of the gun mantlet frontally. If they know about that weakspot, that is…

@Soul Brother’s The T34 is a former T10 tank, copy and pasted to t8 and is still bad. Same with the Fv4202. It doesnt matter which tanks looks similar. If the turret is butter for every tank with more than 90mm caliber, the turret is garbage.

It’s not good. The armor isn’t as effective as you’d think. You get penned at weird angles. Also QB your turbo isn’t in your mobility slot.
How do you think it compares to the 112?
This comment is not on topic but it has to do with penalties assign two commanders if you move them from one line to another bouncing around in between different types of tanks. Is there a way to correct that by leaving them in the barracks so that they can be assigned as first-time tank.
Also, over all the rules and guidelines that are on the web for world of tanks does it apply in full 2 console

Finally WG realizza that if a tank has thick raw armor, it’s weight is a lot, and so the mobility can’t be good. I think this is balanced. Remember there are many t8 that have really good armor and many other better statistics
I also forgot to ask does the penalty compound say if you move a guy from a light to a medium then move them to multiple does that – 20% or earning potential deduct 20 40 60, 80 even a hundred

On one hand i’m glad WG isn’t introducing another OP tank but on the other hand this tank is borderline useless. Mediocre heavy would be ok in tech trees like the japanese or czech but in the soviet tree it is unaccetable. We have 10 different soviet premium heavy tanks, and every single one of them are leagues better than this. This is strictly a collector’s tank, you buy it to look at it in the garage time to time and thats it. Oh nearly forgot Fuck you WG for squeezing all the resources out of your player base with this BS FOMO abuse.
The 252 caused outrage, today, this is a weak tier 8. No rockets, no auto-loader, no auto-reloader, 3 barrels, battleship guns, plasma drive, cloaking device ? Hopefully on the next soviet tier 8 heavy WG release in a few weeks.
So, to sum it up:
– It’s infuriatingly slow.
– It’s going to miss 9/10 shots.
– It’s going to make abysmal credits for a premium since you’ll have to spam gold in about 80% of your battles.
– Everything is just going to cake you with gold anyway making the armour (mostly) irrelevant.
I think I’ll stay with my Defender if I feel the urge to play sovjet premium heavies.
I bet it will get a gun buff at some point
