The French Char 2C Bis heavy tank was an unexpected addition to the latest War Thunder update. Although it is quite slow, it is still a very powerful premium vehicle, featuring a massive 155mm cannon with a decent reload rate. I don't know for sure if it is overpowered, but it is certainly strong. Now we just have to wait for Gaijin to add the base version.

This thing is incredible, I’ve gotten multiple kills with single shots because it has so much HE it can splash everything in the area
I don’t think she’s overpowered. I think most just don’t know how to kill her. Unlike me who very much does. Couple days ago I killed a pair of them in an a 13 by myself. Ok I had another team mate but he didn’t fo anything to any of them.
Want to know the trick? Well phly already spilled but look at her side armour. There are indentations in the side plates which defeats any angling. Shoot there and you instantly kill all in the front of the tank. At that point. Move round the back and shoot there. Sorted.

If Gaijin ever adds it, you will love the Sholef. It had a 155mm L/52 howitzer cannon, autoloader which loads a shell in 6.67 seconds, a huge 60 shell ready rack (75 shells total) and it uses a Merkava Mk.1B hull, but it has a 1200hp engine and it weighs only 45t thanks to a different turret, giving it an amazing 26.67hp/t ratio. That’s a higher PtW ratio than the M1A1 Abrams, by the way.
Fortunately it can’t turn for shit so you can just drive circles around it in an armored car and nuke the crew through turret (even shittiest shells tend to ko 3-4 dudes)

I was lit up by 4 2C bis in an L3. Seeing 4, 155mm shells with 43.2 kg of explosive, come flying at me was terrifying!
Normally get up tiered and destroyed. Not fun.
The Char 2c has perfect camouflage. Enemy tankers are looking for tank sized/shaped targets, not houses.
Last time I saw this thing was in BF1

Half of the time enemy players don’t seem to spot that thing, probably cuz they mistake it for a medium size house, or maybe a small barn

We’re also going to get the normal Char 2C, since the one we have is an experimental one off.
I have it and it is fun as hell to play the best part is everyone reaction one of my matches my entire team stopped to look at me even one went wtf is that thing? And it is a beast most my matches I have around five to seven kills with it but prepared to be the center of attention for the enemy team will focus on you over others and hit you with everything they got.
The 2c is absolutely a unit, but I’m wondering if we’ll see other variants make it into the French research tree, which would make low-tier French go from laughingstocks to terrors. This one’s already done a lot.
Will the KV-2 made Tier 1 next?

i played the 2C bis in 8.7 once just for fun, first game in it i somehow kill a t-72A
I like how it was designed to have a giant skid on the back to help with crossing trenches. Trenches that if they were actually so wide as to require said skid, would be nothing more than artillery round traps.
