In a world where there is discord, teamspeak and other quality programs for voice chat, spending resources on developing voice chat for a temporary mode is the definition pouring money in a well.
Voice chat already exists in game, so it’s not a waste at all. Iirc, it was already team-wide years ago in Clan Wars and Stronghold battles.
