I review the T110E5, a 10 in World of Tanks (WoT), with a replay of a Lakeville battle.

Stat line: Ace Tanker, 9.7k damage, 9 kills, 4.3k blocked, 1.2k spotted

This was a razor-close battle where the margin of victory was a mere 111 HP!

Comments
1. I run double repair kit with the E5, as I did with the M103. The small repair kit is mapped to the “5” key, so I can hit “5-5” to quickly repair damaged tracks. The nice thing about having the premium repair kit is that it provides a passive bonus. While not having a fire extinguisher entails risk, in my E5 and M103 I’ve been set on fire about once every 90 battles, so it’s an acceptable risk to me. You can minimize the likelihood of being set on fire by not letting tanks get shots on the rear of your tank
2. I recommend Optics over Vents as the 3rd equipment piece, as vision control is critical in mid-to-late game situations. The other two equipment pieces are the standard combo of VStab and Rammer
3. Once we cleared west, notice that some (dead) friendlies starting calling for us to cap. In a situation where your side is outnumbered, generally the better choice is to defend base. Had our T-34-2 gone to their cap, he would have been easily reset and wrecked. He defended with us, and spotted their E5 trying to in valley, and this was valuable intel

I talk through how I’m reading the battle as it unfolds and discuss key decisions and mistakes. My hope is that these videos meaningfully help other players improve their gameplay.

  1. Really carried those heavy T-54s. Seriously…one penetrating shot between
    the two of them.

  2. Guess who has 3 marks on the E5? :3 yeah Orza and me cc:

  3. Wow! excellent game! I have had a lot of trouble with my 103 and e5. I
suppose it is down to playing poorly. You have inspired me to get back in
    them!

  4. Amazing battle! I can’t wait for the French light tanks!

  5. Christian Rautjärvi

Congrats, a really awesome game! :)

  6. just in time for the on track missions too. thanks for this.

  7. Good game mate! Nice played.

  8. Send it to WG

  9. Epic game man! Great stuff.

  10. Can i just say i love your chibi Dwarf dude, and am in the process of
getting my own 😀 just not animated..

  11. What a great game Taugrim! o7

    • +Cinid yea, it was razor close. I was surprised at the damage numbers – it
was a long battle and I really had no idea what was going to come up on the
      scoreboard.

  12. Outstanding result, Taugrim!! 9 kills is huge, just for starters…

    • +Allister Manson this was my first 9k+ damage game.

I’ve had several games of 8 or 9 kills, but it’s usually difficult to get
damage that high unless things play out – as they did in this Lakeville
battle – so that one can rack up damage over a long period of time.

  13. If you want to reliably perform well, however, don’t use the e5.

  14. *Up next*: we take another look at the oft-misplayed *ELC AMX* and after
that the *AMX 12t* and other French light tanks.

    • +Taugrim indeed I can only second what John Dillinger says there, I like
how you explain the thinking and bevaviour with great detail and giving
your assessments of the (micro-)situation. Few people do that in such
      detail and so well understandable.
Congrats to that great game, my record is at 8.2K in STB, 9 K with 9 kills
is really really hard to get :-).

    • +Taugrim Can’t wait for your ELC AMX game, I love this tank its so under
      estimated.
Just as a small point I love your vids but is there any chance that once
the fight begins you can leave the speed on x1 unless there’s a very long
wait. When you were fighting middle road and ramping the replay back and
forwards from x1 to x2 it actually gives me a kind of motion sickness.

    • +Taugrim Hey I think your reviews are great, jingles are good and all but
your explanations are very detailed, anyway have you done an is7 review
yet? if not do you plan on doing one? 🙂
